The Church United For Foster Care & Adoption

Congregations For Kids (CFK) works to unite the Church in transforming the lives of vulnerable children in our city.

CFK was born out of response to Charlotte’s foster care crisis. It was a direct answer to a call made by the local government and a unique church/state partnership was created.

With the help of our parent network, For Charlotte, CFK partners with Mecklenburg County Youth and Family Services (DSS) along with several other agencies to create awareness within the Church about what is happening in the lives of vulnerable children, specifically foster youth. CFK also creates tangible ways the Church can step in and help this crisis including faith based MAPP training (foster care training), Weekend Miracles mentorship program and customized church awareness campaigns.
