Mission Charlotte Board Chair Luncheon

MissionCLT’s mission is to “Glorify God by helping non-profits and churches thrive”. We teach, coach, and implement a simple capacity building model.
One of the core competencies we emphasize is Board Governance. Our experience shows that most Boards drift toward either apathy, encroachment (into operations), or risk-management. We believe that 90% of the problems that non-profits experience stem from unhealthy or improper governance.
As an anecdote to these realities, we are hosting a Board Chair interest luncheon on Tuesday, August 19th from 11:30am-1pm at Forest Hill Church’s South Park campus. Our Board Chair, John Parker, will facilitate a discussion about the possibility of convening non-profit Board Chairs and Vice Chairs on a regular basis to:
- Explore best practices in Board Governance
- Engage in learning from real time situations with actual non-profits in Charlotte
- Cultivate a peer-to-peer learning community among Board Chairs and Vice Chairs.
